Emeritus Professor Gina Geffen AM FAPS
Professor Geffen has over 45 years’ experience in academic research, teaching, clinical practice and governance in psychology, and has made a significant contribution to neuropsychology in all of these areas. Gina has held a number of respected academic positions at Monash University, Flinders University and the University of Queensland. She has been involved in curriculum development and was instrumental in establishing the clinical neuropsychology training courses and programs in Queensland.
She has published over 135 research papers and 15 book chapters on neuropsychology, particularly on memory and closed head injuries, in a range of high impact peer-reviewed journals. Gina has been a member of the APS College of Clinical Neuropsychologists since 1984 and held a number of positions within the College, including Chair of the Queensland State Section. She also sits on a number of Editorial Boards and Committees, and was awarded the prestigious Paul Satz-INS Career Mentoring Award from the International Neuropsychological Society.
